Waywayseecappo, MB (CKLQ) – The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are putting a few teams in the MJHL on notice after a comeback victory over the OCN Blizzard on Friday night.
The Wolverines came back from 3-1 down, to score three unanswered in the third period to win 4-3.
Dylan Soosay scored the game winner with over six minutes to go, and it was less than a minute after Conrad Phillips tied the game.
Goaltender Isaac Labelle stopped 22 shots in the victory.
With the win, the Wolverines move two points back of the 8th and final playoff spot held by the Winkler Flyers and Winnipeg Blues.
Wayway takes on Winkler on Sunday night at the Waywayseecappo Communiplex at 6:00 p.m.
Other MJHL scores featuring the Westman teams, the Dauphin Kings beat the Winkler Flyers 5-4, thanks to a Carter Sawchuk goal with 3 seconds remaining.
Brendan Martin scored the overtime winner for the Steinbach Pistons to beat the Virden Oil Capitals 4-3.
Neepawa lost 4-3 to the Swan Valley Stampeders at the Yellowhead Centre.
