Two members of the Wheat Kings have been named to the national Junior Team Summer Development camp in Plymouth, Michigan.
Defenceman Braden Schneider and forward Luka Burzan are among the roster of 43 players chosen.
Schneider is coming off a solid season which saw him score eight goals and 24 points in 58 games.
Burzan was acquired at the trade deadline from Moose Jaw. He’s scored 69 goals and 145 points in his WHL career.
The five goaltenders, 13 defencemen and 25 forwards chosen will be split into two teams at the development camp. They will play four games in Plymouth, taking on the U.S. twice, as well as Finland and Sweden.
The camp runs July 27 to August 4.
