Rifles, handguns and one full automatic gun stolen from rural home

Carberry, MB (CKLQ) - Blue Hills RCMP are asking for the public's help in looking for stolen firearms from a home in the RM of North Cypress-Langford.

RCMP say someone busted through the entrance of the home, and several gun cabinets and a gun vault were broken into.

Several firearms were stolen which include rifles, handguns and one full automatic gun.

Police believe the theft happened sometime between 3:00 p.m and 9:00 p.m. on August 6, seven kilometres north of Highway #1 and kilometres east of Highway #5.

RCMP believe the suspect knew about the collection of guns beforehand.

A vehicle was used to load the guns, and police believe the vehicle fled traveling west on Highway #5 or went through the towns of Edrans and Firdale.

Police are still investigating, but if anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the RCMP.
