Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - The Province has announced it will increase flows on the Assiniboine River.
The Hydrologic Forecast Centre says flows from the Shellmouth Dam will be increased by 120 cubic feet per second on Thursday.
Water levels will rise by half a foot just downstream of the dam.
It's part of the annual winter draw-down of the Assiniboine, in anticipation of the annual spring run-off on the upper part of the River.
The province will issue its first flood outlook of the year in the coming days.
