The Brandon Wheat Kings top pick in last spring’s Bantam Draft will be getting a little Western Hockey League experience this week.
Nolan Patrick will be joining the Wheat Kings for the remainder of the season, and could make his WHL debut Tuesday night when Brandon hosts the Saskatoon Blades (7:00 p.m., Westman Communications Group Place).
Patrick was the fourth overall pick in the 2013 Bantam Draft and had 33 goals and 63 points in 39 games with the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s Winnipeg Thrashers during the regular season.
He added three goals and ten points in eight playoff games, but his Thrashers were eliminated in the MMHL playoffs on Friday night.
