Everett, WA (CKLQ) – For the 2nd time in a week, the Brandon Wheat Kings were shutout by a US Division opponent.
Carter Hart made 25 saves for his 25th career WHL shutout as the Everett Silvertips handed the Wheat Kings their 4th straight loss, 4-0 on Saturday night.
Matt Fonteyne (2G-1A) and Patrick Pajkov (1G-2A) led the way for the Silvertips who lead 2-0 after the first period. The Pas, MB native Connor Dewar added the other for the ‘Tips who add to their division leading point totals.
Logan Thompson made 41 saves, a number of which in highlight reel fashion but didn’t have any run support as he suffered his 3rd consecutive loss.
Everett finished the night 1/4 on the powerplay while the Wheaties failed to convert on their only chance.
Brandon continues their seven-game road trip on Sunday evening in Portland. Puck drop against the Winterhawks is scheduled for 7:00 MB time. (6:30 pre-game show on QCountry Radio).
