Football alumni reunite at BU this weekend

Over 100 alumni and guests will celebrate the legacy

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Over 100 football alumni and guests will celebrate the legacy of Brandon University football this weekend.

Football was last played at the school in 1973, but for homecoming, alumni will come in from all over to be part of the celebration.

The last major football celebration took place in the 1980's when the all-time all-star team was recognized.

Many of those honoured football stars are confirmed to attend including Dave Bauman, Bert Gogal, Bruce Gullett, Peter Hagberg, Jim Haynes, George Kunyckyj, Lorne Lagimodiere, Murray 'Bucko' MacDonald, Joe Parks, Larry Rodenbush, Glennis Scott and Garry Smith.

Friday, Oct. 13
1:30 pm - High School Football: River East Kodiaks at Neelin Spartans
3:00 pm - Women's Volleyball: Lakehead Thunderwolves at Bobcats (HLC Main Gym)
3:30 pm - High School Football: Crocus Plainsmen at Vincent Massey Vikings
6:00 pm - Women's Basketball: Dakota College at Bobcats (HLC Main Gym)
8:00 pm - Women's Volleyball: Winnipeg Wesmen at Bobcats (HLC Main Gym)

Saturday, Oct. 14
9:00 am - Wall of Fame Induction at Victoria Inn Imperial Ballroom
1:30 pm - High School Football: Neepawa Tigers versus Swan Valley Tigers at Vincent Massey
1:00 pm / 3:15 pm - Women's and Men's Soccer: ACC Cougars at Bobcats (HLC Field)
