The LGCA undertake regular inspections

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Manitoba cannabis stores are toeing the line when it comes to the rules governing retail sales.

The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba says it's had very few problems since legalization in October.

Authority chief administrative officer, Liz Stephenson, says inspectors are visiting every store at least once every two weeks.

"This is a good thing because this means we're constantly in the stores and checking them, it also is a great opportunity for people who work in the stores to ask questions and seek clarification on things," Stephenson said.

Stephenson adds, no retailers have been fined and only two cautions have been issued so far on minor matters.
