If you thought your Monday was bad, the old saying, "things can always be worse" comes to mind after reviewing the Brandon Police reports over the past 24 hours.
A rash of disturbing the peace calls prompted several Brandon Police officers to take action throughout Monday.
The first of four calls involved an assault in progress at a west end residence at approximately 5:40 p.m.
Police took a 33-year-old man into custody after learning he had kicked and punched the victim, causing bruising.
The victim did not require any medical treatment.
Later Monday evening officers were called to break up a fight outside a downtown residence, a 24-year-old man involved in the fracas was intoxicated.
20 minutes after that call BPS received a report from the east end of a 39-year-old woman who was demanding cigarettes from other individuals to the point where she was becoming violent.
A fourth disturbance call came in at 3:30 a.m, involving a 21-year-old woman.
BPS officers had repeatedly interacted with her throughout the evening while she was left in the care of responsible adults who were unable to control her outbursts.
The final straw occurred when she showed up at Brandon Police Service and proceeded to throw a rock at a parked cruiser.
In all four instances the individuals were loddged at Brandon Correctional to prevent any further offences from occurring.
