Women's team sweeps Heat

Kelowna, BC (CKLQ) - It was another dramatic finish for the Bobcats men's basketball team, one that did not go their way as they lost a close game 83-82 against the UBC Okanagan Heat.

With nine seconds left, the Bobcats would get the ball with a chance to win the game but Tyvon Cooper's layup would rim out.

Brandon falls to 1-3 early in the Canada West season with the loss.

Tyvon Cooper, Kobyn Jopp, and Jaleel Webb would all finish in double-figures for the Bobcats.

Cooper would score a team-high 29 points along with five rebounds and six assists.

Also in Kelowna, the women's team completed the sweep against the Heat with a 82-78 win.

Lauren Anderson went for 19 points and a game high 13 rebounds, Adrianna Proulx added 16 points, while Hailey Maas and Logan Biccum finished with 14 and 13 points respectively.

The Bobcats improve to .500 on the season at 2-2.

The Bobcats travel back home for a two game set against the Regina Cougars.
