Winnipeg, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon Bobcats men’s volleyball team finished the first half of the season off with a convincing three set victory over the Manitoba Bisons.
The scores were 25-21, 25-8, 25-15.
Bobcats’ Robin Baghdaddy had five aces in the match, while Mason Metcalf led the team with 12 kills.
The Bobcats sit at 10-2 now to conclude the first half of the season, to sit in second place in the Canada West standings.
Meanwhile, the women’s volleyball team lost in four sets in the Bisons.
The last three sets of the match went down to the wire, including the fourth set which was won by Manitoba 27-25.
The Bobcats sit at 3-9 on the season.
Both basketball teams didn’t fare well either in Winnipeg, with the men’s team falling 101-81, and the women’s team losing 74-65.
